Pre Tan Check List
Exfoliate and moisturize 24 hours before you apply your spray tan!
Pay attention to elbows, knees, ankles and problem dry areas.
Do not get a brow tint within 48 hours before your appointment. You run the risk of the tan grabbing to the tint, oxidising & going too dark! We can avoid spraying your first if you have had your brows tinted in the 48 hours prior to your appointment.
Wax or shave at least 48 hours prior to treatment. This allows the pores time to close and avoid dark dots in your pores!
On the day of your appointment avoid 24 hours using bar soaps, high pH shower products, oil based products or in-shower moisturizers. These products may act as a barrier against your skin and can prevent the fast-acting tanning agents to develop.
Don’t come with any moisturiser, perfume, deodorant or makeup on the day of application. This may cause discoloration or a patchy tan result that won’t last as long.
DO NOT GET SUNBURNT prior to your spray tan. It can take a total of 4 weeks for the skin to recover from sunburn and it can effect the outcome of your tan. Please know if have been sunburnt and still wish to be sprayed this is at your own risk.
Ensure you bring loose clothing you can put on after your appointment to avoid rubbing off any of your fresh tan.
Spray Tanning FAQS
How long can I leave it on for?
All of our tans are a 1 hour express. If you would like to achieve a very dark tan you can leave on for up to 3.
Can I use soap in the shower after my tan?
Use NO soap. Let the water run of your body until you can’t see any tan left in the water stream. Pat yourself dry and wait 12 hours before moisturising.
Can I get a spray tan whilst pregnant?
Receiving a Spray on Tan is completely up to the individual, and it is our professional advice that any concerns be discussed with a doctor prior to getting a Spray on Tan.
Can I sleep in my tan?
All of our tans are 1 hour express. You do not need to sleep in them, this can also cause excessive dryness to the skin resulting in a patchy tan.
How long will my spray tan last?
Most spray tans last roughly 7-10 days. Though certain factors can extended or shorten this period.
Do I need to bring anything if I booked for a spray and shower?
Nothing! We supply body wash, face wash, and a towel.
How can I make my spray tan last longer?
Moisturise, Avoid chlorinated water & Keep shaving to a minimum
What do I wear whilst being sprayed?
When getting sprayed you may wear as much or as little as you wish. Most people prefer wearing a G-string in order to get the best coverage; however it is a personal choice. EDC promises that all that spray tan specialists are professional and will act in a respectful manner at all times.
Will I have an un-natural looking tan?
Typically, the orange tone that may result from the application of Spray on Tan is the result of too much DHA within a solution. Mine tan is 100% natural DHA meaning you are not at risk of an orange undertone.
